Student Jazz Ensembles to Perform on Nov. 30
HOLLAND - Hope College Student Jazz Ensembles will perform in Wichers Auditorium of Nykerk Hall of Music on Tuesday, Nov. 30, at 7 p.m.
The public is invited. Admission is free.
The program will begin with the Mainstream Ensemble, coached by Steve Talga and performing classic jazz standards.
The Anchor Band will follow, directed by Steven Ward. They will perform "Groovin' Hard" by Don Menza, as well as other classic pieces from their big band repertoire.The program will close with the Hard Bop Ensemble, coached by Rob Hodson. They will perform classic jazz pieces, as well as "This Here" by Bobby Timmons.
Nykerk Hall of Music is located on the former 12th Street between College and Columbia avenues.
